Industrial Chic meets luxe utilitarian appeal in this hand knotted wool vintage Turkish overdyed rug. The erased botanical design and monochromatic color scheme in this piece work together capturing the essence of a dramatric, dark and moody atmosphere. The distressed and overdyed composition features an inconspicuous ogival medallion surround by a barely-there allover pattern interlaced with beguiling biomorphic forms which seem to evanesce before one's eyes into the hand-sheared pile. Delicate florals and foliage are quietly concealed as they radiate from the corner spandrels and seamlessly amalgamate into field. In the same manner, a faded botanical border and meander guard bands add an intriguing finish. Reflecting a relaxed palette and no-fuss design aesthetic, this vintage overdyed rug dances between the realm of laid-back luxury and esoteric elegance while embracing Anatolian history with a hint of mystery.
Rendered in variegated shades of eggplant, aubergine, black currant, fig, midnight purple, Russian violet and violet indigo with other analogous colors.
