The year it was painted is unknown, but seems to be in the same period of the chest since the paint is aged. The lovely hardware is ornate and original. There are unique wood carved details along the sides of the chest as well as along the drawers. There are 3 large drawers that open and shut properly. There is a keyhole for each drawer, but only for looks. This commode does not come with any keys. See less
