Vintage Wellington Hall Mahogany With Inlaid Satinwood Chest of Drawers. The rectangular top above three drawers, each fitted with pierced batwing plates, bail pulls, and banded inlay flanked by fluted columns, resting on a platform base ending in bracket feet. Such a versatile piece and could be used as a side table with storage or a night stand. Solid and heavy with obvious high quality craftsmanship.
North Carolina-based furniture maker, Wellington Hall Designs, began making quality wood furniture in the early 1950s. They sold furniture under their own brand name and also made furniture for the Hekman Furniture Co. They discontinue production in 2004. The fifty-year-old manufacturing line, known for its high-end case goods, was based in High Point, NC. less
