Vintage extra large glossy sylvac (English Company) black elephant figurine model no 769 from 1930s, Pottery elephant with a matted black hand-painted surface. Embossed on the bottom is the mold number L768. Very detailed with texture wrinkles and white painted details including the eyes (with black pupils), toe nails and trunk tusks. Did you know: the trunk is raised is a symbol of good luck! A very early Sylvac model, Made in England.
Measures approx. (Hard to measure an elephant!) 8.5” to top of trunk tall, 3.5” wide and 11.5” deep. Condition is normal for its age, vintage wear is average, does not take away from the overall loveliness of the piece, however see photos for more description, and please use the zoom in feature provided.
