Exceptionally rare "uchiwa" fan wall lamp by gilbert, new york city, usa ( marked ) 1960s. This wall light presumably predates the uchiwa model that was made popular by ingo maurer as that was from 1973. The fan is in great condition considering its age. The original wire and switch ( marked by gilbert ) are in working condition ad the plug has been changed to fit eu sockets. The bakelite lamp holder is original as well needless to say and is fitted for general e27 light bulbs. This piece has an attribution mark,
