Appears to be a copy … more A vintage plaster bust sculpture of Ludwig van Beethoven with a painted faux verdigris finish.
Appears to be a copy of a work by Hugo Hagen. This bust was based off a life mask of Beethoven, created in 1812 by Franz Klein. Hugo Hagen was a German sculptor alive from 1818-1871. A copy of this work can also be found in the Library of Congress.
NOTE: Has some chips and cracks. Some areas seem to have been colored in to conceal chips. Please see photos.
