Vintage: C.1930's-50's English Sheffield Silver Co., silver plate, dome-lidded/covered, dual-sided/divided side entree serving dish. Silversmith Company, engraved markings on the underside, as depicted in close-up image. Two-intersecting R's, encased in a shield, with Sheffield's Hallmarks, and below this the model # and/or Production #, 5653 1/2 next to it Some minor surface wear to underside, given the era of manufacture with use, otherwise very well maintained, from a Palm Beach Island, Fl. Estate. It is almost reminiscent of Hotel Dinner Service in the Art Deco period and into the Hollywood Regency era. The height and the simplicity with a sophisticated panache for dinner/lunch or breakfast side serving entree dishes. Very well maintained for era with gentle use,
