nils kähler (1906-1979) was fourth generation of the family kähler. He and his brother herman jørgen kähler, who were in charge of kähler´s ceramic workshop from 1940, brought the artistic expressions of the ceramic production into the mid-century period.
the lamp base has a multi angular form decorated with glossy dark purple glaze. A broard band at the top is left smooth without glazing.
included is a new lampshade designed in denmark. It is made of woven fabric with some texture and natural white color. It has a top cover so it will spread a cozy light downwards.
incised with the initials hak for herman a. Kähler and denmark + nils for nils kähler + denmark
