This is the oversize version with a beautiful buckram binding and exceptional photography. It is filled with 554 beautiful illustrations , 508 in full color , of 327 species. This collector book is by Alexander Wetmore, Research Associate and former Secretary of the Smithsonian Institutions, past President of the American Ornithologists' Union, and other eminent ornithologists. Wetmore was Secretary of the Smithsonian Institution. He is joined here by contributions from many other ornithologists. The book itself is in splendid condition.The graphics on the woven cloth buckram cover , featuring a Cardinal , are very bright.
