I have a Very Rare Vintage Maitland-Smith French Regency Hand Carved Center / Foyer Table. This table is labeled Maitland Smith made in Hong Kong and is a one owner table that was highly cherished. This table is very heavy, probably 150 pounds. This Hi-Quality center / foyer table has a 8 point star on the top and the base is ornately hand carved. The previous owner paid over $5000 for this hand built table. The table is in exceptional condition and ready for a new home. The table measures 52" diameter and 34" tall.
An eight point star or an octagram is two overlapping squares that also serve as a symbol for duality. The four cardinal directions and the four elements—air, water, earth, and fire—are each represented by a point on the square. less
