Shattered Moon depicts moonlight through a window on the evening of the Creature’s fateful creation. The title is evocative of the transgression against nature Victor commits, and the moon seems a silent witness. The fractured light is symbolic of Victor’s identity, which shatters the moment he creates something he will subsequently shun and ignore. Projected onto turquoise slats, the cool white light emits a powerful, omniscient glow. This 1:1, bespoke light sculpture can be displayed both on and off and requires an outlet to function.
