We are selling this interesting early Japanese woodblock print of The Empress Jito's Poem by Utagawa Kunisada or Toyokuni III. We believe this to be an original mid 19th century example on washi paper that has faded significantly due to sun bleaching.
Condition: Heavy discoloration and sun bleaching to the print. Horizontal crease through the center of the picture. Some visible damages at the corners where it was probably mounted to a mat.
