Stone and objects were brought in from all over Europe. This cistern was one of them. Purchased by Lydia Pinkham Gove from Italy as "A 17th Century Carved Marble" though we believe it may be 19th Century. We acquired this (with help) directly from Lydia Pinkham's Great Grand Children. less
