Pairpoint Glass Co. Poppy flower stained glass table lamp, Vienna shade, 1920. Obverse-painted and enameled glass shade in "Vienna" style, patinated silver plate base. Color and size of floral gives this antique a preternatural freshness and modern feel. Note the sinuous elegance of the base and the gentle manner in which the frame branches up to hold the shade before continuing upward to connect to each blossom. Masterfully designed work. Stamped manufacturer's mark to base 'Pairpoint MFG Co. 3088' with P in diamond. Signed to shade 'W” as Pairpoint studio artist signature, circa 1920
