On offer is this charming Paul Phifer drawing of a girl sitting and smiling with a bouquet of flowers on her lap. It is a drawing on what appears to be gessoed art board, as it's a hot press board which should be very smooth and flat, but this board has a brush-like texture. I believe it's a work in pencil as there are a few smudges.
Paul Phifer was an American artist from Tennessee who studied art in Europe at 18yrs of age, and went on to study at the Ringling College of Art and Design in Florida. He became a full-time artist quite young and was an artist until his passing 10 years ago (Paul Phifer 1951 - 2013).
