Beautiful vintage Murano hand blown black, white optic swirl and gold flecks Italian art glass decorative bowl / ashtray. Documented to designer Alfredo Barbini. Similar bowls, with the same pattern are shown on his catalogs. The bowl has a folded over rim, creating a lip, and has 2 decorative indents on the sides. It has lots of gold leaf on the inside of the bowl. The layer is over the white swirl. Would make a great display piece on any desk, side table or credenza. Use it as a catchall, candy dish or ashtray. Has 3 little pads on the bottom to guard it from scratches. Mid-century era. Measures 7 1/4" long x 6" wide x 2 1/2" high.
