For six decades Robert Sonneman, founder of the eponymous world-renowned lighting design studio based in New York City, pioneered modern lighting. George Kovacs is perhaps the most famous and accomplished Modern lighting designer. This architecturally stunning set of floor lamps designed by Robert Sonneman for George Kovacs is in 100% original, vintage condition. The midnight chrome finish shows minor signs of vintage wear, mostly relegated to the bases, showing minor scratches and pitting (both of which can be seen in the detail photos provided). Both lamp heads swivel in circular motions for easy spotlighting and both lamps feature a high and low light feature. Both lamps include functioning bulbs and adjust to a total extended height of 45.5". These exceptional floor lamps are functional, structurally sound and ready for a literal lifetime more of use.
