Larry Weinberg was kind enough to comment: "The chair is part of a tradition in steam-bent wood design in the U.S. that goes back to Samuel Gragg's 'Elastic Chair' of 1808. A nice vernacular, modern piece with the age to the 40's-50's or so." less
