"Suicide by Fire" Original by Benedict Scheuer
Suicide by Fire marks a departure from the maximalism and movement of Benedict's previous pieces. In this piece which envisions the Creature’s death, the patterns become minimal and the color of the dye softens. The only movement comes from ashes blowing away gently. Rather than brutal and painful, Benedict imagines the Creature’s death as reaching an ultimate peace and final stillness.
