- The piece is in wonderful condition for its age although the original column that Ness designed to go in the … moreThe piece is in wonderful condition for its age although the original column that Ness designed to go in the middle broke, unfortunately, at the time of removal. Other than that, I noticed chips and nicks in the concrete itself, but nothing that jeopardizes the integrity of the bench or the sundial, I also think that maybe at some point the metal sundials had been restored or repaired. Looks like there was some patch jobs done where the metal sits into the concrete itself. less

This piece was not only originally designed by Wallace Neff but is also shown in his original sketch of the Fred Niblo house built in 1924. We were fortunate enough to not only enter the famous estate and find this historical architectural treasure, but also to hand-salvage the piece ourselves.
