The ball is 6 inches and pretty heavy but I never weighed it. It is non-magnetic, painted gold and has scratch to paint that shows copper underneath. The ball itself was probably made early to mid 20th century and the stand was made a few years ago of an oak piece.
The stand is 10-1/4 inches long by 4-1/2 inches wide and overall height including the ball is 18-1/2 inches.
It’s an attractive piece and would make a nice addition to your folk-art collection. less
