It originates … Read more This superb Old Mbole Anklet Bracelet Trade Currency measures 8" W by 7.5" d by 4.5" H . It originates from the Southeastern Democratic Republic of the Congo, where the Mbole people use it to facilitate major trade transactions. The Mbole people have some of the largest jewelry forms in sub-Saharan Africa, traditionally worn by both men and women. The anklets come in two sizes, the larger called "Ehuke" and the smaller called "Diako," forged and hammered from a single ingot with one side featuring a cast opening. See less
