Unusually shaped hand engraved 'white silver' vintage trinket box from China - decorated with archaic style calligraphic verse and the goddess of Mercy, Kwan Yin / Guanyin / Guan Yin on the top. This vintage box has a snug fitting lid and is signed on the underside along with the mark for silver. Actual silver content unknown - it polishes up very well. Inside the sides are lined with copper. An attractive and useful storage container or gift/present.
