As a result, the cutting-edge aesthetic of this new series plays with the fading reflections of the subject, creating a trompe-l’oeil effect and indissolubly blending the objective and subjective dimensions through extra-thin material layers. The careful selection of materials: hand-ground crystal, walnut briarwood, solid marbles and brass, features a mirror gradient, thanks to an innovative experimental craft technique of surfaces layering. Furthermore, together with a frameless and sleek appearance, a faint tilt provides a further twist in the subject perception, increasing the engagement and highlighting the thinness and lightness of this unexpected two-dimensional composition. Colour and textures may slightly differ depending on devices, and remain unique for each creation since the handcrafted features of this object. Formaminima is an emerging brand within the Italian Design panorama, prone to exploring the concept of object itself, in the field of lighting and product design in its broadest sense. This exploration starts in the first instance from the tradition, from the artisan mastery and that making full of charm, care, and perseverance. Thus to achieve what for us represents a contemporary Design Sleek Poetry. We create value through the masterly realization of unique pieces, as well as minimizing the intermediation between the Design product and its audience. Hence our projects result in the outcome of a direct collaboration between our designers and the excellence of Italian craftsmanship, along with its valuable know-how. To this end, we believe that a slow design process, together with its time of thought and research, is essential for what we believe Good Design may be.
