Description: A deeply cast and artistic, large bronze censer crafted during the Japanese Meiji period.

The heavy bronze was cast in the shape of a moving horse with a saddle on its back. The spirit of the horse is indicated with ears up, prancing and tail raised. The horse has a dark brown patina. Pick up the saddle and there is the hole to the incense burner.

The censer is unmarked.

9 ¼” (24.5 cm) long x 3 ¼” (8.3 cm) wide x 10 ¼” (26.0 cm) tall. Weighs 4 lbs 5.1 oz (2240 g)
