Rare 19th C handheld muffin bell town crier fire alarm bell. The bell features two Brass domes mounted back to back with iron, a turned wood handle, and a brass ring. The bell was commonly used as a fire alarm to alert the town. Usually two Criers would use them to alert the town folks. The bell works great and the sound is very loud. Rare and collectible.
Nowadays may be used as a dinner chime, farm chime and has many other uses in which contact need to be made. less
