Showing a central green and orange melon and leaves along with a branch of plums and strawberries, all on a white basket weave ground. The basket is bound at intervals in a gray-green glazing which also borders the woven rim.

One of a group made by Wedgwood with each plate featuring a different fruit. The melon is especially difficult to find.

Marked; Impressed Wedgwood, with a date cipher and the painted numbered mark of the glazer.

In very good antique condition with the minor surface wear expected of the Argenta pieces.
