The tradition of making lacquerware has been handed down through generations with villages being dedicated to the craft. It takes time to apply numerous layers of lacquer to the hand made container. The lacquer had to be dried carefully. The outer colors show the craftsmanship involved. Each piece has its' own unique design. There is an inner "shelf" so to speak that fits into the bottom of the container with the top slipping over that. These make a great gift and can hold that special piece of jewelry. The price is for a single container. The set of three is shown in order to depict some of the pattern variations. You may receive any of these or similar patterns.
