A French art deco flush mount in clear partly frosted molded-pressed glass made around 1930-35. The shade is made by the large glass manufactory of Jean Gauthier in the town of Ezanville a little north from Paris. In the mid 30s it became well-known for its glassware in bluish opalescent semi-crystal like we can often see on for instance Charles Ranc or Henri Petitot chandeliers of the late thirties. The mounting is done in nickel plated solid brass or bronze. The flush mount has a diameter of 24 cm (9,45") and is 13,9 cm high (5,47 inches). The glass is partly frosted on the inside. And it is signed Ezan France on the inside of the cup.
The flush mount is in excellent condition. I re-nickeled and patinated the mount. And it comes rewired with two American candelabra base sockets.
