This Ed Baynard rare vintage 1980 limited edition Modernist lithograph print framed exhibition poster is an incredibly special and unique piece to add to your collection. The vintage lithograph print poster was printed in a limited unnumbered edition for the exhibition of watercolor paintings of the New York artist Ed Baynard at The Alexander F. Milliken Inc. Gallery in Soho New York in 1980. The poster is printed on heavyweight cotton wove finish paper, and is plate signed by the artist in the lower right margin.
Ed Baynard's Modernist Contemporary art works have a refined, elegant and decorative style. He depicts an equally refined and sophisticated set of subjects: flowers, plants, vases, and elaborately decorated containers in a static, super - realist manner. His paintings show references of Eastern Art, and Art Deco inspirations in their decorative style, vivid palette, and use of line. His works are held in the collections of The Metropolitan Museum of Art, The Museum of Modern Art, The Tate Museum London, The Whitney Museum of Art, The Walker Art Center, and The National gallery of Art among many others.
The large format rare out of print limited edition lithograph print framed poster measures 24 1/2 W X 38 H X 3/4 D. It is custom framed with plexiglass in a classic modern cement gray satin finish metal frame molding, with an attached hanging wire on the reverse back side for easy wall installation.
It is in excellent vintage condition consistent with age and light signs of handling. There is some very light scuffing to the frame molding. Please see photos for condition reference. It is now being offered here for an excellent price. less
