Description: This magnificent ginger jar is made out of porcelain. This piece has its original sticker indicating it was made in … more This magnificent ginger jar is made out of porcelain. This piece has its original sticker indicating it was made in China and hand painted in Macau, see pictures, and it features a red stamp in Chinese lettering but we are unsure of which dynasty it represents. This piece is a ginger jar, meant to store herbs and spices, and it features a small sculpture on the lid of the Chinese Foo dog, a symbol of protection. This piece has a lovely hexagonal silhouette, and it features a gorgeous hand painted design of flowers and traditional Chinese figures with a stunning overall gold, green, red, pink, and blue color scheme. The lid has a few small openings for air flow and there are two small handles on either side as well as three feet on the base.
