Asian Wooden bangle bracelet with sterling silver overlay. Extraordinary hand-wrought one-of-a-kind thick bangle with a heavy silver overlay depicting two dragons, a phoenix, and a gryphon with a snake in its mouth; they are surrounded by winding stylized tendrils and leaves. The carving of the wood is asymmetrical and smooth, ranging from 1" to 1.5" wide and up to 1.75" thick. I cannot begin to tell you how potent this piece is; it has a significant weight and heft, but it's the carvings that fascinate and compel. The deeply three-dimensional design is powerful and even spiritual. There are faint traces of a forest-green wash to the wood, that give it even greater resonance. I've never encountered anything like it, it really is spectacular beyond what the photos can convey. Interior circumference, 8" (please note large size) less
