These stunning artisan studio hand-crafted modernist resin clip-on earrings were created by Marie Therese and Christian Migeon, known as Migeon & Migeon. The oversized dangling shape with a futuristic design has a light banana pearlized color. The company logo underside on the fastenings reads Migeon & Migeon - Paris.
Measurements: 1.88 in wide (4.8 cm) x 3.57 in high (9 cm).
Note:
Migeon & Migeon is a French husband and wife team who created furniture, accessories, and jewelry pieces between 1986 and 1995, published by the design gallery "En Attendant Les Barbares" in Paris. Their design is full of creativity and out of the norm. Some of their bestsellers, like the two-tone resin candle holders, have sold well over forty thousand pieces in four years. Their work is out of production and sought after by collectors. Several of their Avant-garde pieces have been displayed in museums and are part of the Product Design and Decorative Arts Collection at the Cooper Hewitt Smithsonian Design Museum.
En Attendant Les Barbares.
Agnés Kentish with Frédéric de Luca created in Paris, in 1984 the gallery "En Attendant Les Barbares," which has entered the history of the decorative arts of the 20th Century today, thanks to a duo of designers whose potential the young woman had guessed: Élizabeth Garouste and Mattia Bonetti. Thirty-six years later, Agnès Kentish still displays the same passion. The design gallery has been the benchmark publisher of Garouste & Bonetti. Between pieces of furniture, the gallery extends its collaboration with other contemporary designers.
At the origin of a post-modern movement defined under the name "barbarian style," the gallery's approach was to abolish the boundaries between design and decorative art. Also, while continuing to produce Garouste & Bonetti pieces, it has extended its collaboration with a new generation of designers, such as Christian Ghion, Arik Lévy, and Matt Sindall. The accent was on the manufacturing quality carried out by artisans and the use of noble materials: bronze, hand-beaten iron, and gold leaf. The exhibitions presented are personal (Elizabeth Garouste, Andrée Putman) or collective ("En Attendant 25 years").
