Born in Meadville, PA on March 1, 1878. Edmund Sayer lived and worked in Washington, DC until moving to southern California. He was a resident of San Diego from the late 1930s until his death on April 30, 1962. He specialized in maritime subjects and naval scenes. Member: Spanish Village AA (San Diego); Los Sureños AA (San Diego). Exh: Washington Art League, 1933; GGIE, 1939.
