Splendid large mixed media artwork by Becky Sansing (American, 20th Century). The organic abstraction is done on handmade paper in layers of thick textured paint. It is signed and titled along the left center edge "B. Sansing, 1/1 Matthews Brilliance III". Becky Sansing is a nationally known artist who uses thick impasto brushstrokes that leave accidental shapes in the paint. This piece is a modern interpretation of the natural world completed with blues, pinks, and greens and enhanced with gold paint. It is professionally framed under glass with a simple white wood frame. There is a coordinating piece being sold separately. They would make a great pair flanking a fireplace or headboard.
Overall Dimensions are 23-1/4" wide x 43-1/2" high x 1-1/2" deep.
Paper itself measures 17-3/4" wide x 37-1/2" high.
