Painted for the Sweet Land of Liberty exhibit at the Center for the Arts, Bonita Springs, FL, July 7-27, 2023, I was honored to have received a first place recognition. Kristen Kerwin, Juror's statement pictured. When I asked myself, liberty for who?...the piece basically spoke to me. America is a young country and we've come so far in a relatively short period of time, compared to other countries on Earth. We have so much to be proud of, but we have much work to do. This painting reads soft greys, black, and white with a background of various browns that create movement and the allusion of blues and reds. 48" W x 60" H x 1.5" D, this is a big canvas that will add interest to any room, especially a public venue. I find it very thought provoking. UV satin varnish. Wired and ready to hang. Artist signature bottom. less
