This original print is from Crispin van de Passe’s Hortus Floridus, published in 1614-1616. The Hortus Floridus was a collection of 160 engravings depicting flowering plants, and it was one of the most popular botanical books of the 17th century. The prints in this set are beautifully executed and capture the beauty and diversity of the flowers they depict.
Acquired at an art collector's large estate auction in 2023. less
