Seed pearls range in size from 1mm to 2.5mm. The pearls are in-tact and in good condition.
The starburst motif was popular during the Victorian era when celestial themed jewellery was worn. The versatile piece can be worn as a pendant on a chain or as a brooch. The piece dates to 1895 (see the below information about the hallmarks).
The pendant is in very good original condition. We have not cleaned it in order to preserve the patina and collector value.

Stones: Seed pearls range in size from 1mm to 2.5mm. The pearls are in-tact and in good condition.
Size & Measurements: The pendant measures 28mm diameter 1.10 inches).
Metal & Hallmark: 15 karat yellow gold. The pendant is hallmarked with the Makers Mark "HG&S" followed by the Mark of Origin for Chester, UK (three corn sheaves with a sword to the centre). The next hallmark is "15" and "625" for 15k gold. The next hallmark is the Date Letter sequence (letter "M") for the year of production (1895).
