A French 19th century ash adjustable stool with a deep relief twisted-form central column that acts as the mechanism to adjust the height and three sturdy splayed legs. The large wooded screw attached to the seat allows the stool to change heights with a quick spin. Made almost entirely of wood with original joinery screws being the only metal on the piece. An antique that would never stop being useful, this petite stool would be great for the piano, an artist, or as a stand alone seat. Structurally sound with a wonderful patina.
