A beautiful bowl, hand painted in underglaze cobalt blue on a white porcelain body. At the bottom there is a floral pattern, along the edge there is an original ornament. The back of the dish is decorated with large stylized balls and a blue stripe around the rim of the foot. The base is unmarked, but there are barely visible three pile marks used to support the weight of the base during kiln firing.

Mid 19th century - Meiji era in Japan.
