The painting depicts a classic European riverside scene with maids doing their laundry. In the distance, a man looks downstream from the top of a nearby bridge. Village house with a water wheel on the opposite bank of the river. Gorgeous foliage in attractive soft hues.

Good condition, no damage or restoration. On the left side of the mat peeled off in some places.

Label in Italian on the back. A fragment of the drawing is called "Experience", a drawing of 1684. Size: 70x120 cm. Made in Italy. Composition: 96% cotton, 4% polyester.
