Amazing pair of sconces "Lantern" wall lamps in rattan and bamboo, in the style of Louis Sognot. Made in Italy in the 1960s. A wonderful example of mid-century craftsmanship, where bamboo and rattan are perfectly blended. It's a gorgeous piece for a mid-century outdoor project. Louis Sognot was a French designer best known for his elegant furniture made from a combination of rattan and wood. Sognot was influenced by Art Deco and Cubist aesthetics, giving his work a unique stylistic touch while still being usable.
