- There is a slight wobble of the seat post which is not very notable with the seat in a low … moreThere is a slight wobble of the seat post which is not very notable with the seat in a low position but becomes more noticeable as the seat is brought up to its maximum height of 29 inches. See the photo of the seat post. I believe two metal parts inside the seat post cap were broken off. I secured two pieces of UHMW (ultra high molecular weight) plastic I their place, see photo. The seat will lift out of the post if you pick up the chair by the seat which does not affect the function at all. The original hand screw for the seat back in and out adjustment was bent and is included but I replaced this with a stainless steel thumb screw. I do not think the set screw in the seat post was original so I replaced this with a stainless steel screw. There are age related marks and defects in the metal parts.
