This piece is stamped as being made by Wedgwood in England, see pictures, and this plate was made to commemorate Mothers Day in 1972. This plate is made in a beautiful green color with a white floral garland design around the rim and a charming image of a mother and daughter in the center with the words "Mother 1972" underneath. This plate does come in a black Wedgwood box, but we are unsure if this is the original box for the plate.
