This really is a Exceptionally Nice Original Matching Pair of Authentic Antique Northeastern American Region Snow Shoes. Circa Early 20th Century. They are Completely Hand Made. The Frames are Made out of Steam Bent Indigenous North American Ash Wood and They Still Retain their Original Varnish that with Age Has Acquired a Wonderful Honey Color and Patina. They have Substantially and Intricately Hand Woven & Braided Genuine Sinew Netting. They are in Excellent Cosmetic and Structural Condition and They Display Beautifully. The Original Thick Cowhide Leather Foot Fasteners are in Very Nice Condition and They Could Actually be Used but I Would Recommend That You Use a Good Leather Conditioner First. They have No Maker or Other Markings but I Purchased Them in The "Down East" Coastal Maine Region and I a Confident that is Where They Were Made. Perfect for Wall Display in a Rustic - Adirondack Setting.
Each Measures 39 1/2 inches Long x inches 15 inches Wide x 1 inch Tall.
