Traditional Chinese form with waisted rim, hand painted in rich well defined, colourful enamels with medallions on the front and back portraying birds fluttering about amongst cherry blossoms / prunus and other flowers such as chrysanthemums, peonies, plants & trees. The rest of the body with intricate floral and scroll designs against lovely blue and warm red glaze grounds.
Four orange goldfish swim inside amongst pond weeds.
Comes with high quality traditional wooden stand.
Upper and lowers borders predominately red, orange and gold.
Retains "Made in China" label on underside.
Excellent condition with expected very minimal signs of age.
Vintage, mid 20th Century.

The planter is 16" diameter x 12" tall. The stand raises the height to 22".
