More About This Item:
The originals of these architectural print etchings were crafted by Giovanni Battista Piranesi (1720-1778), one of the foremost Italian Classical archaeologists, architects, and artists of the 18th century.
A variety of prints have been produced through the years as far back as the 18th century; this is presumed to be from the 20th century, but could date back farther. This particular etching features the Campus Martius, a historic area of ancient Rome. Although presumed to be from the 20th century, the print maintains its classical charm, offering a glimpse into the splendor of Rome's past.
Professionally framed, this piece is part of a set of four, each showcasing different architectural marvels of Rome, making them a captivating collection for any art lover or history enthusiast. (Each are listed separately and available in our shop.)
The artwork is in very good condition, and the professional framing job ensures its protection for years to come. There is a tear on the back of the frame, as noted in the photos, which does not affect the integrity of the print itself.
