Carl-harry stålhane (1920-1990) unique hand signed bowl for rörstrand, sweden, 1967. This is a unique and hand signed sizable studio pottery bowl by carl-harry stålhane for the high-end department of famous pottery workshop rörstrand. Please note this is not a multiple, like most works by carl-harry stålhane for rörstrand are - but a very rare one-off. And a beautiful large one at that. A true gem of swedish mid-century studio pottery. Beautiful colours and quintessentially mid-century freeform geometric cubist decoration and glazing. A very modern and timeless design which will be of enduring beauty. Signed with his full name, the rörstrand logo and dated 1967. Carl-harry stålhane was one of the defining scandinavian studio pottery artist of the 1950s and 1960s. He made a vast body of work ranging from practical pieces to unique art pieces like this very bowl. He exhibited his works in stockholm (1948 and 1949), malmö (1949), new york (1960) and tokyo (1966), his studio pottery works can be found in numerous museums, like the nationalmuseum in stockholm and the museum of modern art (moma) in new york. At dezaak deluxe we try to find items that are out of the ordinary. With experience over 40 years, we are known for our singular eye and combining the new and the old. We have a few thousand items in stock in our beautiful showroom in a reclaimed factory building out of the 1930s. This piece is attributed to the mentioned designer/maker. It has no attribution mark and no
