Hans Wegner (1914-2007) was a Danish furniture designer who is often credited with helping to define the "Danish modern" style of furniture design that emerged in the mid-20th century. He created a number of iconic furniture pieces that are still popular today, and his work is recognized for its simplicity, elegance, and functionality. Wegner worked for a number of furniture manufacturers throughout his career, including Johannes Hansen, PP Møbler, and Carl Hansen & Søn, and he collaborated with other designers such as Arne Jacobsen and Børge Mogensen.
