The picture is based on an Orthodox icon-painting plot, probably the plot of the icon "Tenderness" or "Passionate" Mother of God, and the like. The icon of the "Passionate" Mother of God is a subject of special veneration in the Roman church of St. Alphonse (dei liquori) under the name of Our Lady of "Permanent Help" τῆς ἀϊδίоυ βοηθείας de perpetuo succursu. The icon, according to legend, was brought from Fr. Crete. Recall that the Catholic Church in 1423 established a day of remembrance of the Sorrows of the Mother of God.
In the paintings, there is no space that goes deep into the depths. As well as in icon painting, which has its own visual laws and artistic means.

Under the central figure at the bottom right is the signature of the author and the year the painting was created. Wooden frame, glass. Good condition, no damage or restoration. Europe, 2000s.
